Obituary of Alice Lillian (Borden) Ouellette

Alice Lillian (Borden) Ouellette, 93, of Peabody, wife of the late Alfred Ouellette, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Danvers with her family at her side. Mrs. Ouellette was born in Chelsea on June 11, 1918 the daughter of George and Victoria (Dudlee) Borden. She was raised and educated in Chelsea. Following her marriage, Mrs. Ouellette moved to Salem where she resided for many years before moving to Peabody in 1984. Mrs. Ouellette was employed for 31 years as a utilities operator at GTE Sylvania in Salem until her retirement in 1978. Mrs. Ouellette was a loving mother who devoted her life creating a home for her family, and later was so proud of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and their accomplishments. She enjoyed spending time at family gatherings, and being with her friends while playing beano. Mrs. Ouellette is survived by 2 sons and their wives, Kenneth and Maria Ouellette of Rochester, NH, and Ronald and Gloria Ouellette of Danvers; a sister, Jeannette McNeil of Peabody; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and their children. She was predeceased by 7 brothers and 4 sisters. Her funeral will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody. Visiting hours are Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
