Obituary of Esther L. (Giarrusso) Barnett

Esther (Giarrusso) Barnett, 87, formally of Peabody, died late Sunday evening at the Port Healthcare Center in Newburyport, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Donald I. Barnett. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louisa (Delisio) Giarrusso. She was raised in Lynn and attended Lynn Public Schools. She has spent the last 40 years living in Peabody. She was a member of St. Ann’ s Sodality and Choir in Peabody. She also enjoyed crocheting, arts and crafts, baking, gardening and reading. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her including a son, John Barnett of South Carolina; 2 daughters and sons-in-laws, Mary and Wayne Reily of Amesbury and Gloria and Daniel Bioren of Exeter, NH, a sister, Anne Kuklinski of Lynn; 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Michael Giarrusso and Clementina Columbus. Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’ s Church, Peabody at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
