Obituary of Mary P (Ferris) Calandra

Mary P. (Ferris) Calandra, 78, of Peabody, died Thursday December 15, 2011 at the Essex Park Nursing Home in Beverly following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Stephen Calandra. Born in Hyde Park on October 17, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Byron and Dorothy (Keegan) Ferris. She graduated from Hyde Park High School in 1952. She has lived in Peabody for the past 47 years. Mary worked as a bank teller first at State Street Bank and later before she retired, at Eastern Bank in Lynnfield. Mary enjoyed traveling, reading, and sports. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Patricia and Richard Regis, Dominic and Lisa Calandra, Stephen and Sheryl Calandra and Christine and Glen Truiera. She is also survived by her five grandsons, Anthony and Victor Regis, Nicholas Calandra, and Cameron and Justin Truiera. She was the sister of the late Joseph and Frank Ferris. A private graveside service was held on Tuesday at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
