Puchniak, John S. of Peabody, December 28, 2011, in Salem Hospital, beloved husband of Mary A. (Yurgosky) Puchniak, loving father and father –in-law of John P. Puchniak, Diane L. Puchniak and Barbara A. and her husband Edward Mattuchio all of Peabody, Richard G. and his wife Julia Bambara of Manchester, MA, Stephen c. Puchniak of Boca Raton,FL, Robert J. Puchniak of Boston, brother of Alice Mitchell of Brooklyn, NY and the late Chester St. Claire and Albin Puchniak, cherished grandfather of Kristyn and Alexander Puchniak, Sophia and Matthew Puchniak, Jennifer and Heather Mattuchio, great grandfather of Anthony Mattuchio. A Visitation will be held on Friday, December 30,2011 from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody (Downtown) facility. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St., West Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Puritan lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Retired Production Manager of 45 years at Avnet Electronics of Peabody. Veteran of WW 11 serving on a mine sweeper at Ormandy Beach and Normandy with the US Navy. `
