Obituary of Elmond A. Sinclair
Elmond A. Sinclair, 80, of Peabody, beloved husband of Elizabeth (Pelletier) Sinclair of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Wednesday following a lengthy illness.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Elmond and Nellie (Calnen) Sinclair. He lived in Salem in his youth and attended Salem schools. He lived in Peabody for over 45 years, and lived in Danvers for the last 2 years.
Mr. Sinclair was a veteran of World War II, with service in the United States Navy.
He worked as a Sorter with A.C. Lawrence Leather Company in Peabody, then was a Letter Carrier with the U.S. Postal Service, based in Peabody, for 25 years. He retired in 1989.
He was a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge 1409 of Peabody, the V.F.W. Post 1011 of Peabody, loved bowling, gardening, the Red Sox, and especially loved gatherings with his family and friends.
He is survived by: his wife, Elizabeth (Pelletier) Sinclair of Peabody, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth & Lisa Bray-Sinclair of Marblehead; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy & Kevin Kidney and Joyce & Paul Kidney, both of Lynn; seven grandchildren, a special niece Susan Lemaire of Newton, NH, and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Sinclair and Carrie South.
His Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St. location, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
