Obituary of Barbara A Carnevale, Esquire

Barbara A. Carnevale, Esquire, 33, of Peabody and formerly of Cranston, Rhode Island, died early Monday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a courageous battle against breast cancer. She was the fiancée of Michael Whitehead of Peabody. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of Generuso “Skip” Carnevale of Cranston, RI, and the late Nancy (McGuirl) Carnevale. She was raised and educated in Cranston, RI and has lived in Peabody for the past 5 years. Barbara graduated from Suffolk University in 2000 and continued her education at Suffolk Law School and was a commencement speaker at her graduation in 2003. Also while she was at Suffolk Law School, she was the managing editor of a Suffolk Law Newspaper. After graduating from Suffolk Law School, she passed the Bar exam and started working at Zwicker and Associates in Andover for seven years until her illness. Barbara loved the outdoors and skiing, and while in high school, she played on the field hockey team. She also enjoyed playing the guitar, photography, and was currently writing her autobiography. Barbara will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her, and her family is appreciative of the nurses, staff and doctors who treated her during her illness. They are very grateful. “Life has taught me that people will remember you not by what you said, not by what you did, but how you made them feel.” BAC Besides her fiancée Michael Whitehead and his children Jaxon and Lilly Whitehead of New York, Barbara is survived by her father Generuso Carnevale of Cranston, RI, her brother, Christopher and his wife Amanda Carnevale and their daughters Amber and Cadence of Cranston, RI and is also survived by several close friends, relatives, and her dog Soto. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell Street Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
