Obituary of Arnold George
Arnold E. George, died January 10, 2012 at the age of 87. Arnold was born in 1924 in Rapid City, Manitoba, Canada and was the youngest of 11 children born to the late Clarence and Annie (Runions) George.
Arnold met his loving wife, Ivy (Ivadell Folk) in London, England and they were married the following year on December 8, 1956. Together they spent numerous years traveling to many places to volunteer their time to teach others the Bible truths that were dear to their hearts. Arnold and Ivy moved to Peabody, MA in 2002 to help care for his older sister until her passing in 2011.
Arnold was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1938 and continued to be a diligent student of the Bible and was always eager to share his Bible-based hope even during his declining health. Arnold was a devoted husband and enjoyed traveling, music and cooking. His memorable smile and loving personality touched many lives. Arnold is survived by his wife, Ivadell George. He is also survived by the following nieces and nephews:
George Sicaras of Florida, Paula Lininger and Denise Justice of Ohio, David Seaton of North Carolina, John Seaton, Jackie Logan, Carol Vokey, and Steuart Seaton of Ontario, Canada, and many grand nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 79 Endicott Street, Peabody, MA on January 21, 2011 @ 1:00 pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Arrangements were made by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home.
