Obituary of Brian K Donahue
Brian K. Donahue, 50, of Lynn and formerly of Beverly, died Tuesday at his home following a long illness. He was the long time companion of Carol Nicosia with whom he shared the past 22 years with.
Born in Ipswich, he was the son of Sally (Mackey) Donahue of Danvers and the late Daniel Donahue. He was raised and educated in Beverly and has lived in Lynn for the past 20 years.
Brian was a mechanic who worked throughout the North Shore and built his own car, a Barracuda, when he was 12. He later attended Northeastern University and received his certificate in Electricity and became a licensed electrician and again worked throughout the North Shore.
Brian was a “Mr. Fix it” and would help family, friends and who ever was in need of his help, any time of the day. He also enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, skiing, camping, fishing and scuba diving.
Besides his mother Sally Donahue and his long time companion, Carol Nicosia, he is survived by his two brothers, Daniel Donahue of Beverly and Mark Donahue of Peabody, his sister, Lisa Brown of Peabody, his God Daughter, Christine Brown, and is also survived by his step children, Nicholas, Jennifer, Andrea, and Christine Nicosia, and step grandchildren, Lenny, Jonathan, Michael, and Emma, all of Lynn.
His Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brian’s name the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
