Kevin Manton
Boxford—Kevin Manton, 86, formerly of Hingham and Haines City, Florida, passed away on February 22nd, at Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers. The youngest son of Michael and Rose Ann (Byrnes) Manton, Kevin was born in Halifax, Yorkshire, England. He was in the home guard during World War II, attended college and then emigrated to Australia where he met his wife. They eventually settled in Hingham where they lived for over 25 years and raised their family.
Kevin worked for Pneumatic Scale retiring in 1990.
Kevin is survived by his sons Stephen Manton of Boxford and Paul Manton of Hingham, daughter Jane Ulwick of Whitman, four grandchildren, sisters Maureen Moger and Colleen Spencer as well as numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (Tugman) Manton, son Michael Manton, brothers John, Michael, Terry and Bill Manton and sister Ann Carpenter.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a Visitation held on Friday February 24, 2012 from 6 – 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
