Obituary of Lucienne "Lucy D. (Fournier) Ball

Lucienne “Lucy” D. (Fournier) Ball Peabody--Lucienne “Lucy” D. (Fournier) Ball, 100, beloved wife of the late Robert Ball, died peacefully on Tuesday February 28, 2012 at the Peabody Glen Nursing Home following a long illness. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Lebel) Fournier. She grew up in Salem, and lived most of her life in Peabody. Mrs. Ball worked with Bomac in Beverly and Ideal Baby Shoe in Danvers before retiring. Lucy married later in life, and enjoyed a 25 year marriage to Robert. Together, they loved ballroom dancing, and enjoyed travel. . During their extensive 12 cross-country drives, they visited every State Capitol in the U.S. She is survived by a sister, Alice Paquette of Wenham, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death besides her husband and parents, by her sisters Irene Therault, Jeannette Beaulieu, Lillian Desjardin, Cecile Le Clerc. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Saturday March 3, 2012 from 8:15 to 9:15 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Manchester-by-the-Sea. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Manchester. Memorial donations may be made to Care Alternatives Hospice, 181 Cedar Hill Rd, Marlborough, MA 01752.
