Obituary of Shannon C. Howell

Shannon C. Howell, 48, of Peabody, died unexpectedly at home with his mother at his side on Friday, March 2, 2012. Shannon was born in Salem on October 17, 1963 son of Marilyn V. (Armdell) Howell and the late William W. Howell. He was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School Class of 1983 and was lifelong resident of the City. Shannon was employed for many years as a pastry chef at the Century House Epicurean Shop until his kidney ill health which caused him to retire in 1994. He was presently attending North Community College and was 3 courses from receiving his degree as a nutritionist. Shannon loved bicycling, riding his motorcycle and driving his car to remote areas. He enjoyed nature and walking with his companion Pekingese dog “Bucky”, and was a member of the Danvers Fish and Game and Planet Fitness Center in Peabody. In addition to his mother of Peabody, Shannon is survived by 3 brothers, a sister and their spouses, William W. Howell, Jr. of NH, Michael A. and Susan Howell of Lynn, Angela B. and Gregory Lane of Gloucester, Erin K. Howell and his fiancée Cynthia Degeis of Lynn; many nieces and nephews and many friends. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Second Congregational Church, 12 Maple Street, Peabody. Pastor Jon Chub will officiate. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
