Obituary of Mary P. (Coreita) Haight

Mary P. (Coreita) Haight, 86, of Peabody, died early Saturday morning at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Warren J. Haight with whom she shared over 62 years of marriage. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Margaret (Quadros) Coreita. She was raised and educated in Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School. Upon marrying her husband Warren, Mary became and Army wife and was stationed throughout the world including Japan, Germany, and Taiwan for over 28 years before moving back to Peabody in 1966. Family was everything to Mary and she enjoyed spending time with her children and later her grandchildren and great grandchildren and sharing with them in their endeavors. Mary is survive by her son, Randy and his wife Diane Haight of Beverly and by her daughter Kathleen and her husband Peter Fritz of Wilmington, NC, her four grandchildren, Steffan Fritz USAF and his wife Stacey of Germany, Caitlin and her husband David Osgood of Hingham, and Christopher and Cathryn Haight of Beverly, and her two great grandchildren, Gavin Fritz and Alexis Osgood. She was the sister of the late Anthony Coreita. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Margin St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
