Obituary of Michael J. Beauchamp

Michael J. Beauchamp, 60, of Peabody, died at his home on Monday, April 9, 2012 with his loving wife Elizabeth (Ho) Beauchamp by his side. Michael was born in Kansas City, MO on May 9, 1951 son of Zella (Rhodes) Beauchamp and the late Samuel J. Beauchamp. He was raised in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School class of 1969. He enlisted into the U.S. Navy on August 1, 1971 serving aboard the USS Little Rock (CLG4) as a MM3. He was honorably discharged on August 8, 1973. Following his discharge he pursued his education for 2 years at Boston State College with a major in English. Michael was employed as a mail processor at the Dorchester Ave. Boston U.S. Postal Office, a position he held until his retirement in 1991. Everyone who knew Michael will remember him as a jokester who enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed traveling to Naples, Italy and to Walt Disney World in Florida, and also loved cooking and eating. In addition to his wife Elizabeth with whom he shared 29 years of marriage and his mother of Salem, NH; Michael is survived by a sister, a brother, 5 sisters-in-law and 5 brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews; many friends and his 2 precious cats Mycee and Ping. Relatives and friends may pay their respect on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A family service will be held on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Michael was a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran will be receiving Military Honors following the service.
