Three of your former students from St. Mary's Beverly--Anne, Pat, and I were honored and blessed to attend your services on Monday. You were a great teacher and a tremendous inspiration to me. God bless you, dear Sister Helen.

Sister Helen was my best friend growing up in Cambridge and we attended St.Mary's school together. I was with her when she left for the convent and was selfishly very sad that I was losing my dear friend. She was very happy as a Notre Dame nun in her service to God and this was apparent when I was fortunate to visit her in January. She told my daughter and me that she had a wonderfully full life and felt gratified that she was able to share it with so many of her Sisters and students. Her mission was to serve and that is certainly what she did. May God always hold you in the palm of His hand my dear and faithful friend.

As a student of Sr.Helen's in the late '50's at St. Mary's in Beverly, I will always remember her as a great teacher and friend. Her cheerful face and demeanor in the classroom and out were always welcome. The world is a better place because of her. Rest in Peace Sr. Helen.

To Sister Helen's Lyons and Notre Dame family, Please accept my deepest sympathy on her death. She was a strong teacher with very high standards and she could explain chemistry so very well. She was an eager mentor to many, many teens. May she rest in perfect peace.

Jo Sullivan, Bishop Fenwick HS '64 (Looking back, I find it shocking to realize, how young she was, and how close in age we all were!)

I will always be extremely grateful to Sr. Helen Cornelia who was such a devoted high school teacher. Besides being a wonderful educator, she was a wonderful friend. Sr. Helen was always available after school to take on any issue or problem. Her mentoring and guidance went way beyond the classroom activities for which she was responsible. She made a huge difference in many lives. Her legacy includes so many of us who graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School. God Bless you Sr. Helen!!!
