Obituary of Leon Chimook

Leon Chimook Revere—Leon Chimook, 94, died unexpectedly in his sleep at his home on Sunday April 15, 2012. Born in Russia, he was the son of the late John and Lukiya (Verenchuk) Chimook. He grew up in Chelsea, and lived in the Boston and Revere area all his life. Although not formally educated, Mr. Chimook showed his intelligence and handy skills working hard at the Chelsea Naval Yard, and several leather and shoe factories. Once retired, he would help others and repair neighbors houses. He is survived by a special niece, Pamela Freda of Peabody who took care of his needs, and five other nieces and nephews, and seven great-nieces & great-nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Ann Bruni, William Chimook, John Chimook, Dorothy Rizzo, Mary Redmond, and Theodora Freda. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Graveside Committal Service on Friday April 27, 2012 at 11:30 AM in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.
