Obituary of Heitor Silva

Heitor Silva, 83, of Peabody, died on Wednesday at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Marcionilia (Pereira) Silva. Born in St. Jorge, Azores, Portugal, he was the son of the late João and Maria (Sousa) da Silva and had resided there before moving to Peabody 42 years ago. He had been employed with Bicknell and Fuller for 18 years prior to his retirement. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, João and Maria Silva of Peabody, a brother, Mariano Silva of Peabody, two sisters, Cecilia and Maria Alice Silva, both of California, two grandchildren, Danielle and Sherri and a great grandson, Evan James, all of Peabody, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday from 7:45 AM until 08:45 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
