Obituary of Frances A. Stepenuck

Frances A. Stepenuck, 71, of Peabody, died Wednesday evening at the Cedar Glen Care and Rehab Center in Danvers after a long illness. She was born in Salem, MA on April 30, 1941, the daughter of the late Stephen J. and Elizabeth F. “Lib” (Coughlin) Stepenuck and had resided in Peabody all her life. Frances graduated from St. John’s High School in Peabody in 1959 and later received her BA degree in accounting from Bentley College being one of the first women with high honors in 1970. She had been an accountant for 37 years with the law firm of Hemenway and Barnes on State St., Boston in the trust and tax liaison division prior to her retirement 6 years ago. Frances loved to sing and had been member of St. John’s Choir and also enjoyed doing gardening around her home. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Terry Stepenuck Jr. of West Swanzey, NH and a sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Paul Kench of Needham, her nieces and nephews, Kathleen Murphy of Windham, NH, Kristine Stepenuck of Madison, Wisconsin, Scott Stepenuck of Ballston Spa, NY, Meredith Kench of Somerville, MA and Jonathan Kench of San Diego, CA, three grand nieces and a grand nephew. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 14, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabaody facility. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, 16 Church St., Peabody at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
