Obituary of Mary (Grant) Valerio

Peabody, February 24, 2003. Mary (Grant) Valerio, 70, of Peabody, died early Monday morning at the Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Richard J. Valerio who recently died on January 20, 2003. Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Matilda (Dugas) Grant, Sr. She had resided in Peabody all of her life and had attended Peabody Public Schools and was a graduate of Peabody High School. She is survived by a son, Richard P. Valerio of Peabody; 3 brothers, Joseph and Lawrence, Grant, both of Peabody and Leo Grant from, Ca; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late John Grant and Katherine Renard. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation Thursday morning from 10- 11:00 AM. Following cremation, burial will take place in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
