Obituary of Arlete (Ortins) Franco Butler

Arlete (Ortins) Franco Butler, 88, of Palm Bay, Florida and formerly of Peabody, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at her residence in Florida with her family by her side. She was the wife of Harold Butler and the late Claudio Franco. She was born in Peabody, MA on January 21, 1924, and was raised and resided in Peabody most of her life before moving to Florida. While in Peabody she had been active in the founding of Our Lady of Fatima Church and had been involved in many Societies and functions of the church. Besides her husband, Harold, she is survived by four sons and three daughter-in-laws, Antonio and Elizabeth Franco of Kingsland, GA, Ricardo Franco of Peabody, Manuel and Ilene Franco of Lynn and Ronald and Kathleen Franco of No Stratford, NH, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Fartima Church at 9:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
