Obituary of Wiilliam A. H. Le Clair

William A.H. “Bill” Le Clair, 69, of South Peabody, and formerly of Lynn, died Wednesday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers with his family by his side after a year long illness. He was the husband of 27 years to Grace (Freni) Le Clair. Bill was born in Lynn, MA on October 20, 1942, the son of the late William and Mildred (Greene) Le Clair and was educated in Lynn graduating from Lynn Trade in 1960. He had resided in Peabody for the past 16 years. He had been a machinist at the General Electric Co., River Works Plant in Lynn for 42 years prior to his retirement in 2002. Bill was an avid fisherman who liked to fish in fresh water lakes and also enjoyed camping at Country Shore Pond in Kingston, NH. He is survived besides his wife, Grace, two sons and daughters-in-law, William A.H. and Renee Le Clair Jr. of Topsfield, MA and Peter and Shannon Le Clair of Peabody, a daughter, Cherie Le Clair of Charleston, S.C., two sisters, Eileen Trapp of Louisville, Kentucky and Mildred Feeney of Saratoga Springs, NY, his cherished five grandchildren, Katherine, Victoria and Evan Le Clair of Topsfield and Ryan and Jacob Le Clair of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Linda Piccini and Debra Stocker. A Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, and Boston, MA 02110 in his memory.
