Obituary of Patricia H. (Palmer) Desrocher

Patricia H. (Palmer) Desrocher, 75, of Peabody, wife of Raymond R. Desrocher, died with her family by her side on Friday, June 1, 2012, at the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington. Pat was born in Lynn on May 11, 1937 the daughter of the late John and Helen (Smith) Palmer. She was raised in Lynn and Swampscott graduating from Swampscott High School in 1955. She and her husband moved to Peabody in 1959. Pat was employed as a secretary at G.E. in Lynn leaving to raise her family. She returned to work part time at Whyte’s Cleaners in Andover where she was employed for several years as a customer service representative. Pat was a loving mother who devoted her life to creating a home for her family. In later years she was the proud grandmother of 9 who enjoyed following their scholastic and athletic achievements. She and her husband went on 15 cruises and also spent 20 years vacationing at Hilton Head, SC. Pat enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, going to movies, attending the theater and shows. In addition to her husband with whom she shared 54 years of marriage, Pat is survived by her children and their spouses, Raymond R. Desrocher Jr. of Peabody, Richard L. and Tricia Desrocher of Wakefield, Ronald J. and Susan Desrocher of Haverhill, Russell A. and Andrea Desrocher of Hollis, NH, and Louise E. and Joseph Lynch of Danvers; a brother and his wife, Richard and Ellen Palmer of Burlington; 9 cherished grandchildren, Emily, Erin, Julia, Brian, Ronald Jr., Andrew and Alyssa Desrocher, Joseph and Ryan Lynch; many nieces nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and her numerous friends. Her funeral will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 8:45 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at10 a.m. at St. Adelaide Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
