Obituary of Sarah "Sally" (Maclellan) MacGillivray

Sarah J. “Sally” (MacLellan) MacGillivray, 87, of Peabody and formerly of Dorchester, beloved wife of 54 years to the late Malcolm John MacGillivray, daughter of the late John and Annie Kate (Delaney) MacLellan, loving mother of Daniel and his wife Lisa MacGillivray of Peabody, Paul and his wife Kris MacGillivray of Weymouth, John and his wife Jean MacGillivray of Sharon, and Elizabeth and her husband Richard Howe of Amesbury, sister of Betty Grant of Halifax, Canada, and Elizabeth and her husband Robert Neary of Fairmont, and is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Edmund MacGillivray and her brothers and sisters, Alex James, Walter, Eddie, Roddie, John R., Father Willie and Chisholm, George Naugles and Arthur Canning, Mary Anne (Fred) Boyd, Sister Catherine MacLellan, Florence (Michael) Benoit, Gertie (John) MacQuarrie and Georgina (Hugo) Lafauci. Her visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her Funeral Mass will be on Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody. Burial will be in Mount Benedict Cemetery, 409 Corey St., West Roxbury.
