Obituary of Angeliki G. (Agelou) Canatselos
Angeliki G. (Agelou) Canatselos, 93 years of Peabody formerly of Wakefield, wife of the late George A. Canatselos, died Thursday morning at the Masonic Nursing Home in Charlton.
Mrs. Canatselos was born September 8, 1909 in Greece daughter of the late Constantino and Stamata (Piskina) Agelou. She was raised in Greece and emigrated to the United States in 1935. In 1949 she moved to Wakefield where she remained until moving to Peabody in 1974.
She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Lynn for many years and also of the Harmony Chapter #60 of the Eastern Star in Wakefield. As hobbies she was devoted to painting and sketching.
Mrs. Canatselos is survived by 3 sons and their wives, Anthony G. and Mary Canatselos, James G. and Julia Canatselos all of Peabody and Charles G. and Anna Canatselos of Hallandale, FL; a sister Zoie Theohari of Athens, Greece; 5 grandchildren, Maria Sanzone of FL, Angela Stavros, George Canatselos both of Peabody, Elena Riley of CA, and Chrisa Coughlin of NH; 3 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
Her funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody facility (978)531-0472. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Sunday 5 to 8 p.m. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
