Obituary of Daniel Fee

Daniel Fee, 83, of Newburyport and formerly of Peabody, died early Thursday morning at the home of his daughter after a long illness. He was the husband of Esther (Williams) Fee. He was born in Everett on January 17, 1922 the son of the late Peter and Catherine (Shea) Fee and and was a graduate of Everett High School. He then entered the US Navy in 1942 and served aboard the USS Hudson in the Asiatic-Pacific area before his discharge in 1946. He also served in the Korean War with the US Navy. Following his discharge, he became a machine operator at General Electric Company first at the Everett Plant and later at the West Lynn Plant for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1984. He was a member of the Tin-Can Sailors that met every year and went to many reunions with the crew of the USS Hudson. He also enjoyed playing the Piano. Surviving him besides his wife, Esther, are 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Janis Randall of Watertown and Gale and Brian Denis of Newburyport, 4 grandchildren, Amy Black of Charlestown, RI, Greg Randall of Arlington, Ma, Erin Pasternak of Goffstown, NH and JD Denis of West Roxbury, a great grandson, Lucas Daniel Pasternak of NH and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James, Peter and Joseph Fee and Margaret Busby. A Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 unti 2:00 PM at the Conway,Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Following cremation burial will be held in the Veterans National Cemetery, Bourne.
