Obituary of Sister Adelaide Bisol, SND

Sister Adelaide Bisol, SND, of Ipswich, died peacefully July 2, 2012 at the Sisters of Notre Dame Julie Billiart Retirement Center in Ipswich. Sister Adelaide was born Blanche Bisol, in Leominster on September 20, 1921 daughter of the late Louis and Janet (Baggio) Bisol. Sister Adelaide entered the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur at Waltham on September 25, 1937 and professed her Perpetual Vows on July 30, 1946. Sister Adelaide’s ministries were in Salem, Cambridge, West Newton, Dorchester, Rome and Ipswich. Sister Adelaide is survived by her many Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur family; her siblings, Fred Bisol and his wife Florina, Amy Fontaine, Inez Bisol, Joseph Bisol, Charles Bisol and Sister Angela Bisol, SND; and many nieces and nephews. Sister is predeceased by her siblings, Gene Bisol, Virginia Lambert and her husband Paul, and Janie Bisol; her sisters-in-law, Rita Bisol and Geraldine Bisol, and brother-in-law, Charles Fontaine. Sister Adelaide’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Our Lady Queen Chapel, 30 Jeffreys Neck Rd., Ipswich. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in Ipswich. A Prayer Service will be held at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Sister Adelaide’s name to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, 30 Jeffreys Neck Rd., Ipswich, MA 01938.
