Obituary of Eleanor M. (Biggin) Fleming

Eleanor M. (Biggin) Fleming, 93, of Peabody, died Saturday evening, October 8, 2005, at the Peabody Glen Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was the former wife of the late Peabody Police Captain Joseph Tex Fleming. - Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (McGee) Biggin. Eleanor lived in New York City as a child and moved to Lynn and later Peabody. She was a homemaker and loved to play cards, drive and go for coffee. She leaves a son Joseph V. Fleming and his wife Sheila of Bolton Connecticut and a daughter, Julie L. Fleming of Peabody, four grandchildren, Joseph P. Chi Fleming of Tolland, Ct., Michael Fleming of NYC, Mark Emmett of Peabody and Maureen Longworth of Peabody, and is also survived by three great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Raymond Biggin and Vincent Biggin and infant brothers and sisters. Funeral Services were private and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Donations in Eleanor’ s memory may be made to the Center School Helping Hands Fund, C/O Center School, 18 Irving St., Peabody, MA 01960. Arrangements were made by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody.
