Obituary of Kenneth F. "Link" Lindquist
Kenneth F. “Link” Lindquist, 58, of Plaistow, NH, formerly of Peabody, MA, husband of Christine R. “Tina” (Szpak) Lindquist, died on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill with his family at his side.
Link was born in Everett, on January 29, 1954, son of Claire V. (Stack) Lindquist of Peabody, and the late Kenneth F. Lindquist. He was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School Class of 1972. During his high school years Link played baseball and softball.
Link was employed as the Director of Facility and Grounds at Essex Agricultural High School in Hathorne a position he held for 17 years. He was a member of the Italian American Citizens Club in Peabody, and had a special love for Corvettes and other muscle cars. As a sports enthusiast, he especially enjoyed watching baseball.
In addition to his wife with whom he shared 30 years of marriage and his mother of Peabody, he is survived by a brother and his wife, Scott and Kelly Lindquist of Rosebud, AR; a sister and her husband, Karen and Dennis Roy of Rowley; 2 step sons and their spouses, Todd and Tobi Dabrieo of Fremont, NH, and Daniel and Lisa Dabrieo of N. Reading; 5 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a great niece. He was predeceased in 2011 by his sister Joyce Connatser.
Link’s funeral service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. His family requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Link’s memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Mass Chapter, www.lls.org , 9 Eric Dr., Suite 101, Natick, MA 01760 or to Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830.
