Obituary of William E. Endslow, Jr

William E. Endslow, Jr., 86, of Peabody, husband of Marie T. (McVann) Endslow, died peacefully at home Saturday evening, October 15, 2005, surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong resident of Peabody, he was the son of the late William E. Endslow, Sr., and Katherine (Sullivan) Endslow. He was a Peabody High School graduate, class of 1938. He was a veteran who served during World War II with the United States Army Air Force. He served for the City of Peabody Police Force for over 35 years, retiring as Captain. He also was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Leo Council 508 in Peabody and a member of the Peabody Police Benevolent Association. In addition to his devoted wife of fifty two years, he is survived by six children, William E. Endslow III and his wife Ellen of Lynn, AnnMarie Stevens of Salem, NH, Donna M. Taylor of Derry, NH, Mark B. Endslow and his wife Pamela of Ipswich, John J. Endslow and his wife Kimberley of North Kingstown, RI, Noreen A. Felteau and her husband John of Peabody; five grandchildren, Patrick and Jennifer Stevens, Jacqueline and Jonathan Felteau, and Phoebe Endslow. He was the brother of the Rev. Bartholomew Endslow of Pass Christian, Mississippi and Katherine Manning of Peabody. He was the brother of the late Beatrice Ruane of Peabody. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. John’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, Ma 01923.
