Obituary of Robert V. Vaughan

Robert V. Vaughan PEABODY--Robert N. Vaughan, Jr., died July 6 after a brief illness in Tamarac, Florida, where he had lived for some years. A native of Peabody, he was 61, the son of Mary [Fuller] Vaughan of Peabody and the late R. Norman Vaughan; the brother of Maureen V. Ulevich of Henderson, CO, Kathleen V. Talkington of Salisbury and Donald E. Vaughan of Boston; the brother-in-law of Lee Ridgway of Boston; the former spouse of Paula H. Vaughan of Groton; and the uncle of Jacob Ulevich and Jin Blades of New Jersey, Sarah and Chris Kuemerle of Colorado, Samuel Talkington of Salem, and Gillian Talkington of Haverhill. Robert was educated in the Peabody public schools and graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in 1968, where he was a member of the golf team. In 1972 he received his B.A. from Merrimack College in North Andover, where he was a Francis Ouimet Scholarship recipient, and his masters in economics from SUNY Binghampton in 1974. Throughout his career Robert worked in financial services. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn will be private. Visiting hours and a memorial service will be held at Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody, from 9:30-11:30 on Saturday, August 4.
