Obituary of Dorothy Tsekas

Dorothy Tsekas, 87, of Peabody, died Friday afternoon at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her dear friends following a courageous battle against cancer. Dorothy was born in the family home in Peabody and was the daughter of the late Peter and Catherine (Goutzou) Tsekas. She lived in the family home for over 87 years and in later years became the soul caretaker of the home, making sure all of her “Chores” were being done. Dorothy was loved by all her friends and neighbors and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Besides her loving friends, she is survived by her nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Phillip, William and Ernie Tsekas. Services for Dorothy will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, followed by her Funeral Service at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Paleologos St., Peabodyat 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Vasilios Alter Fund, 5 Paleologos St., Peabody, MA01960or the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
