Obituary of Clifford Lathrop

Clifford Lathrop, 40, of New Bedfordand formerly of Peabody and the North Shore, died unexpectedly early Monday morning at his home. Born in Okinawa, Japan, he was the son of Ralph Lathrop of Scotts Hill,Tennessee and the late Aiko (Yamada) Lathrop. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of thePeabody Vocational School in 1991. Clifford later lived in Charlestown, Georgetown and for the past year, in New Bedford. Clifford was a former ultrasonic technician for Danvers Aerospace and was recently working as a waiter and bartending in New Bedford. Clifford loved the outdoors, biking and fishing, muscle cars and body building, and he especially loved drawing and painting. He is survived by his three loving children, Jared, Marissa, and Kiley Lathrop, all of Georgetown, his brothers, Brian and Brent Lathrop, both of Salem, and by his girlfriend, Franchesca Venezia of Sagamore Beach. Following cremation, a Memorial Gathering will take place on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial services will be private.
