Obituary of Shirlene E. Clay

Shirlene E. Clay, of Beverly, 46 years, daughter of the late Harold and Gail (Cole) Clay died Thursday morning at her home after a lengthy battle with kidney disease. Shirlene was born Nov. 10, 1956 in Beverly. She was raised in Peabody and attended the Peabody Vocational High School. Prior to moving to Beverly she had resided in the Boston and North Shore area. Before becoming disabled she was a telephone answering service operator and then had been a receptionist at local motels. She enjoyed playing bingo. She is survived by a son, Jamie P. Manos of CA; a daughter, Shannon L. Manos of New Bedford; two sisters, Robin Cole of Boston and Tracy Robinson of Revere; three grandchildren, Marissa Manos of CA, Derek Moore, Jr. and Deion Moore both of New Bedford; she also leaves several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Her family eulogy will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St. Peabody location. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday 6 - 8 p.m. Cremation will follow.
