Obituary of Helen P. (Manuel) Pavick

Helen P. (Helena Manuel) Pavick, 77, of Peabody, died suddenly Friday afternoon at Salem Hospital. She was the loving wife of Joseph W. Pavick with whom she shared over 56 years of marriage. Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Ludovino and Francisca (Costa) Manuel. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and attended Peabody Public Schools. Prior to her retirement 16 years ago, she had worked for Devcon Packaging Company in Danvers. She enjoyed crocheting and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also was a member of the Club Luis de Cameos of Peabody and also help with the Portuguese American War Veterans Post # 1 in Peabody. Besides her loving husband Joseph of 56 years, she is survived by a son Joseph G. Pavick of Peabody; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Larry Tonge of Peabody, and Lisa and Stephen Pifalo of Derry, NH, and is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Manuel and Joe Ludovino, Alfonso, Francis, and Joaquin Manuel, Virginia Castro, Alfreda Lawrence, and Juliana Sylvester. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Monday from 5-8 PM. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Expressions of Sympathy can be sent to the American Diabetes Assoc., 330 Congress St., 5 th Floor Boston, MA 02210.
