Obituary of Timothy J. Crowley, Sr
Timothy J. Crowley, Sr. 86 of Kingston, NH and formerly of Peabody and Revere died early Thursday morning at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill following a courageous battle against cancer. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Donnelly)Crowley with whom he shared over 40 years of marriage, and the husband of the late Doris (Yanucci)Crowley.
Born in Revere, he was the son of the late Joseph P. and Mildred (Lane)Crowley. He was raised and educated in Revere, later lived in Peabody for 30 years and upon his retirement in 1987, he settled in New Hampshirewere he has lived for the past 25 years.
Tim was a veteran of World War II who served with the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in April of 1946. After the war Tim worked for various companies before he embarked on his 25 year career as a window installer for Salem Aluminum Window.
While living in New Hampshire, Tim was a member of the American Legion, Post 34 in Plaistow. He enjoyed being called Grampy and enjoyed watching his son and later his grandsons at their football practices and games. He also was a daily communicant of St. John’s Church in Haverhill.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy J. Crowley, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Groveland, his daughter, Doreen Crowley of Danvers, and by his three adoring grandchildren, Timothy J, Crowley III of Dorchester, Elizabeth Crowley-Lee of Andover, and by Brian J. Crowley of Groveland.
His Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. John’sChurch, Lincoln, St., Haverhillto which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM and burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Broadway, Lynn. Expressions of sympathy can be made in his name to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave, Haverhill, Ma 01830.
