Obituary of Dean J Pereira

Dean J. Pereira, 33, of Peabody, died early Tuesday morning at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Born in Salem, he was the son of José and Bernadette (Jorge) Pereira of Peabody. Dean was a life long resident of the city and a graduate of Peabody Vocational High School, class of 1997. After high school, Dean worked as a technician for Comcast and later was in the shipping/receiving department for Wonder Bread inWoburn. He was currently working for Market Basket in the front end. Dean was a member of the CLC Club, Rancho Folclorico, both in Peabody and Our Lady of Fatima Church where he enjoyed dancing and celebrating in the many feasts held at the church, and also enjoyed participated in dances during the Carnaval season. He also enjoyed fishing and watching his beloved Portuguese soccer team, Benfica. Besides his mother and father, Dean is survived by his sister Jeannie and her husband José Cunha of Peabody, his three adoring nephews, his Godson, Mathew, and Adam and Eric Cunha, all of Peabody and is also survived by a large loving family of aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
