Obituary of Teresa C. Jones

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, March 12, 2003. Teresa C. (Sherwin) Jones, 77, of Hilton Head Island, and formally of Peabody, died early Wednesday morning at the Carolina House in Hilton Head, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert B. Jones. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Ford) Sherwin. She was raised and educated in East Boston and later moved to Peabody for 50 years and has spent the last 21 months living in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Prior to her retirement many years ago, she had worked as a secretary for several companies and worked for over 12 years at GTE Sylvania in Danvers. While living in Peabody, she was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield and later at St. Frances by the Sea in Hilton Head Island. She is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Karen A and Herbert Chip Hedetniemi, Jr, of Hilton Head Island, SC; a son, Robert B. Jones Jr., of Haverhill; 2 brothers, Richard Sherwin of Rye, NH, and James Sherwin of Marshfield; a sister, Rose M. Ferullo of Orleans; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility (978) 531-0398, followed by Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lynnfield, at 11:30 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Friday from 5-8 PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
