Obituary of Andrew J. Rheault

Andrew J. Rheault, 82, of Hampton,NH and formerly of Lynn, died early Sunday morning at the Exeter Hospital following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Gloria (Gaudet) Rheault with whom he shared 61 memorable years of marriage. Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late William and Yvonne (St. Amand) Rheault. He was raised and educated in Lynn, later lived in Georgetown and has spent the last 12 years living in Hampton, NH. Andrew was a veteran of the Korean War who served with the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1953. Several years later, in 1981, Andrew founded his own company, American Plate and Auto Glass in Danvers. Andrew was very active in the communities where he lived and worked. He was a member of the AMVETS post 161 in Lynn where he was the recipient of the 1985 Americanism Award, St. Jeans Men’s Choir, past member of the Franco American Post 12. He also served as a Cub Master and Scout Master for Pack 8 in Lynn and was a past president of the Pine Hill Civic Association. He was past president of the North Shore Old Car Club, past director of the North Atlantic Packards and was a member of the Danvers Rotary Club. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his daughter, Wendy and her husband Jim Ormord of Billerica, his three sons, Steven and his wife Kathy Rheault of Haverhill, Alan Rheault of Lynn and Phillip Rheault of Salem, his brothers, Robert Rheault of Methuen and Emile and his wife Violet Rheault of Beverly, his sister Jacqueline and her husband Gerald Cantin of Cocoa Beach, FL, and by his sister-in-law, Maryanne Rheault of Salem, NH, by his three grandchildren, Jody and her husband Dan Tyrrell, Mark and Michael Ormord, three precious great grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Donald Rheault. His funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM.
