Obituary of Arlene (Stanton) Scarfino

Arlene (Stanton) Scarfino, 92, wife of the late Rocco Scarfino, died peacefully on Wednesday October 3, 2012 at the Peabody Glen Nursing Home following a long illness. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Eva (Baker) Stanton. She lived in throughout the North Shore area all her life, and lived in Peabody for the last 32 years. Mrs. Scarfino worked as an assembler for GTE Sylvania of Danvers for 25 years before retiring 33 years ago. Arlene enjoyed knitting, and was an avid baseball fan and followed the Boston Red Sox with a strong passion. She is survived by four grandchildren, William Novick & his wife Kathleen Brophy-Novick ofMerrimac, MA, Michael & his wife Toni Novick, Lauren Novick & her husband Jim Rynkowski of Peabody, and James & his wife Christine Novick ofHudson, NH, and also by five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her parents and husband, by a daughter Linda (Pyburn) Novick and sister Genevieve Farley. A Funeral ceremony in honor of her life was held at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Urn burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
