Obituary of Scott W Hebenton
Scott W. Hebenton, 67 of Fitchburg and formerly of Lynnfield, died on Monday October 15, 2012 at Pilgrim Rehab and Nursing Home in Peabody. Born in Melrose on August 16, 1945, he was the son of Thomas Hebenton of Tewksbury and the late Marguerite W. Tyacke.
Scott was raised and educated in Lynnfield and was a graduate of Lynnfield High School, class of 1964.
Scott worked as the area Vice President of the Northeast Region for Bugs Burger Bug Killers, Inc. before the corporation was purchased by S.C. Johnson Wax in 1986. He then co-founded Pest Managements Systems, Inc. with his dear friend, the late Michael Tanner. In the last five years, he sold Pest Management Systems to a new Bugs Burger Bugs Killers, Inc. for which Mr. Hebenton managed the Northeast and mid-Atlantic Regions.
Besides his father, Scott is survived by his fiancé Josephine Wood of Fitchburg, his two sons, Tod and his wife Tracey Hebenton of GA., and Darren and his wife Tiffany of PA, and by his step son David and his wife Barbara Wood of North Brookfield, his sister, Linda and her husband Tom Dooley and his brother, Gary and his wife Jane Tyacke, all of Lynnfield, and is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Owen, Audrey, and Ethan Scott of GA., Abigail and Haley Hebenton of PA, and Antonia, Gabriella and Jacob Wood of North Brookfield.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday November 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 46 Woodland St., Fitchburg to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 486 Clarendon St., Fitchburg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Hospice of the North Shore and Greater Boston, 75 Sylvan St,, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923 or St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or the American Kidney Foundation, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
