David S. Kennison
PEABODY—David S. Kennison, 52, died peacefully on Sunday November 4, 2012 at the Wachusett Extended Care Facility in Holden, following a long illness.
Born in Winthrop, he was the son of Louise (Somers) Kennison of Peabody and the late Everett Kennison, Sr. He grew up in Peabody where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1979.
Mr. Kennison drove large tractor trailers with several companies, and was employed with West Lynn Creamery for several years. He was a Bus Driver with the MBTA for over 15 years until retiring due to his debilitating illness.
David enjoyed driving, and tinkering on his cars at home. He enjoyed camping trips with friends into all the New England states, Upstate New York, Niagara Falls, and Canada. He enjoyed music of the 70’s and 80’s, and was dedicated to his family.
He is survived by his mother, Louise (Somers) Kennison of Peabody; a sister Kim Brooks of Salem; a brother, James Kennison of Lynn; six nieces and nephews, James Kennison, Cory Kennison, Craig Kennison, twins Brett & Blake Kennison, and Amanda Brooks; four great-nieces & great-nephews, Sophie, Juliet, Kiley, and Kelsie. He was preceded in death, besides his father, by two brothers Richard and Everett Kennison, Jr.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for his Funeral Service on Thursday November 8, 2012 at 11 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, 152 Conant St., 2nd Floor, Beverly, MA 01915.
