Obituary of Rita C. (Clapp) Marshall

Rita C. (Clapp) Marshall, 89, of Lynn and formerly of Winthrop, died Saturday at the Prescott House in North Andover after a long illness. She was the wife of the late John J. Marshall. She was born in West Roxbury, MA on October 17, 1923, the daughter of the late Elmer and Rita (Dolan) Clapp and was raised there and resided in Winthrop for many years before moving to Lynn. She had been a Home Economics Teacher with the City of Boston School Department for 35 years prior to her retirement. She had been a communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Lynnfield. She is survived by her three daughters and two sons-in-law, Judith Martine and the late John F. Martine of Billerica, Karen and Albert Miltner of Gilford, NH and Susan and Joseph Faro of No Andover, a sister Carole Humphreys of Revere,, her grandchildren, Tracey and her husband Spencer Dolan of Bedford, Katie and her husband Edward Mc Naught of Lynn, Lauren and her husband Ken Papa of Sudbury A.J. Miltner and his wife Kelly of Lebanon, NH and Ryan Miltner of Gilford, NH. She was predeceased by five brothers and three sisters. A Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St.,Peabody facility. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Church,Grove St., Lynnfield. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
