Obituary of Bernard W. Martin

Bernard Witham Martin, 63, of Harrison, Maine and formerly of Peabody, MA, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, November 9th., . He was the devoted husband of Jo-Ann Patscheider-Martin and a loving father to his two daughters, Mallory and Shelby. He was loved by many and filled with passion for laughter and life. He was born in Lynn,MA on April 28, 1949, the son of the late Bernard and Carlene (Witham) Martin and was raised and educated in Peabody, graduating from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in 1967. Bernard was employed in the construction industry throughout the North Shore for over 20 years. For the past 10 years ,he had lived in the small town of Harrison Maine where he got to be a true outdoorsman. He loved Maine, especially being able to do his favorite activities such as fishing and hunting with friends. He also enjoyed watching his favorite sport, Nascar , as well as many Boston Sports. He had a special place in his heart for his pet cats. Besides his wife, Jo-Ann, he is survived by two daughters, Mallory Martin and Shelby Martin , a sister and brother-in-law, Maryanne and James Sirois of Peabody, many nieces and nephews as well as many lifelong friends. He was the brother of the late Michael Martin. A visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St.,Peabody facility. A Service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Family Lot in Cedar Grove Cemetery,100 Rear Cedar Grove Ave, off of Lynn St., Peabody in the Beech Avenue Lot 159 Section. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Bernard W. Martin Family Memorial Fund ,c/o Century Bank. 12 Peabody SquareBranch, Peabody MA 01960 in his memory.
