Obituary of Francis J. Pashby

Francis J. Pashby, 76, of West Peabody, died early Thursday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by his family. He was the husband or Natalie (Ducey) Pashby with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. He was born in Everett on September 4, 1936, the son of the late Francis Fox and Clara (Collins) Pashby and was raised in Revere and resided in Saugus before moving to Peabody 8 years ago. He was a graduate of Boston College High School in 1954 and MerrimackCollege. He entered the US Army in 1957 and served with the Reserves until his discharge in 1963. He had been a phone installer with Lucent Technologies working out of the Woburn office for 35 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed boating and going on vacations to Florida and had been a lifetime member of the Wakefield Lodge of Elks. He leaves his wife Natalie of Peabody, a son, Michael and his wife Maureen Pashby of Cary,NC, two daughters, Carole R. McDonough and her husband Michael of Swampscott and Maureen M. Lake and her husband Fred of Peabody, a sister Claire Hietala, of Jacksonville, Fl, 7 grandchildren, Shannon, Jack and Bill Pashby of Cary, NC, Alyssa, Sarah and Amanda Lake of Peabody and Cate McDonough of Swampscott and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Rev. John Jeremiah Pashby of the St. James Missionary Society and the late Mary Mullen. A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway , Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St.,Peabody facility. His funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St.Adelaide’s Church,Lowell St.,Peabodyat 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
