Obituary of Louise M (Gallant) Davids
Louise M. (Gallant) Davids, 91, of Peabody, a proud 5 generation grandmother to the Collins family, died Tuesday afternoon at her home with her family at her side following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late John Davids.
Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Mary-Ann (Gallant) Gallant. She was raised and educated in Chelsea and has lived in Peabody for over 40 years.
Louise worked as an assembler for the Transitron Company in East Boston and later at Compugraphics in Wakefield before retiring in 1988. She enjoyed bowling and dancing, but she enjoyed most was the time she spent with family and sharing in all of their endeavors.
She is survived by two daughters, Dianne Collins of Peabody and Jean and her husband Steve Monahan of Englewood, FL., and is also survived by six grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandsons. She was the sister of the late Rose Barker and grandmother of the late Ronald Monahan.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA01701.
