Obituary of Walter B Fudge

Walter D. Fudge, 93, beloved husband of the late Barbara (Papkee) Fudge, died Tuesday morinig, November 8, 2005, surrounded by his family. Born in Somerville on April 15, 1912, he was the son of the late Edward and Sara (Corpithorne) Fudge. He resided in Somerville and Medford before moving to Peabody 54 years ago. He was the proprietor of Fudge’ s Citgo in Lynnfield for many years before retiring in 1978. He also was a Mason and a member of the King Solomon Lodge in Somerville. Mr. Fudge’ s joy was his family and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his two daughter’ s and sons-in-law, Electa and Thomas Rich of Salem and Barbara and Harold Newhall of Rowley, four grandchildren, Brian and his wife Christine Rich of Peabody, Nancy and her husband Daniel Houle of Derry, NH, David Newhall of Rowley and Amanda Newhall of Salem, his great grandsons, Zachary and Cameron Rich of Peabody, a sister, Electa Fudge of Beverly, several nieces and nephews, and is also survived by a dear friend Janet Frew of West Brookfield. He was the brother of the late Edward, Arthur, Stanley, Harold, Leonard, George, and Isabel Fudge. His funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM in St. Paul’ s Episcopal Church Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St. Peabody Facility. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
