Obituary of Marie K. Collins

Marie K. Collins, 83, of Danvers, and formerly of Peabody, died peacefully on Monday, December 10, at her residence. She was born in Lynn, MA on October 2, 1929, the daughter of the late William F. and Mabel E. (Murphy) Collins and had resided in Peabody most of her life. Marie was a graduate of Peabody High School in 1949 and also attended Ursline Academy and Fisher College graduating in 1952. She had worked for many years at Brandeis University as an administrative assistant to the Dean of Admissions. Marie is survived by her brother, William F. Collins Jr. and his wife Joan of Stuart Florida, her nephews, William F. Collins III and his wife Shannon of Big Sky, MT and Thomas H. Collins of Marblehead, her niece Susan Baker and her husband Kevin of Berwyn, PA. She is also survived by her grandnieces, Kelly, Meghan, Casey and Elizabeth Collins and her grandnephews, Robert and Jack Baker. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s of the Annunciation Church, Conant St.,Danvers. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
