Obituary of Sandra (Galaris) Kessaris

Sandra (Galaris) Kessaris, 72, of Peabody, died early Wednesday morning at the NSMC Salem Hospital after a long illness. She was the loving wife of the late John Kessaris. She was born in Salem, MA on July 11, 1940, the daughter of the late Peter and Florence (Matakis) Galaris and had resided most of her life in Peabody. Sandy was a graduate of Peabody High School and later had operated her own hair Salon, Designs, in Peabody for many years. She had been in the Hair Dressing and Styling field for several years in the North Shore prior to her illness. Sandra had been a member of St. Vasilios Church and had been a Sunday school teacher for many years there which she cherished. She is survived by a son, Christopher Kessaris, three grandchildren, Crystal, Nikita and Corey and four great grandchildren, Makayla, Marissa, Skyla and Austin and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Paul “Butchy” Galaris. A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 12:00 PM in St. Vasilios Church, Peabody . Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
