Obituary of Analiano O. Silva

Analiano O. Silva, 68, of Peabody, died unexpended on Friday morning at his home. He was the beloved husband of Filomena (Lima) Silva with whom he shared over 44 years of marriage. Born in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, he was the son of the late Antonio Tomas and Alice (Picanco) Da Silva. He immigrated with his family to the United States and has been a resident of Peabody for the past 44 years. Analiano was employed in the leather industry for over 32 years with Salem Suede in Peabody and finally, before retiring, he worked for Steven Connolly in Gloucester as a processor for 7 years. While living in Portugal, he served in the Portuguese Army in the Angola War. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening and spending time with his family and friends. Besides his loving wife he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Manuel and Gorete Silva and David Silva, all of Peabody, his daughter, Jessica Silva of Peabody and her fiancé Vincnzo Manzo of Saugus, two brothers, Manuel Silva of Peabody and José Silva of Portugal, his sister, Isilda Lima of Toronto, Canada, and is also survived by five grandchildren, Johnathan, Jake, Dylan, Isabella, and Natalia. He was predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters. His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held today, Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
