Obituary of Nicoleta (Poulopoulos) Moutsoulas

Nicoleta (Poulopoulos) Moutsoulas PEABODY—Nicoleta (Poulopoulos) Moutsoulas, 92, beloved wife of Dionysios Moutsoulas of Peabody, died peacefully at her home while in the comforting presence of her family. Nicoleta was born in Amfeia, Greece, to Yiorgos and Piyi (Dimopoulos) Poulopoulos. She lived an active life in Greece for 47 years before coming to the United States, settling in Peabody, MA with her husband and family in 1967. Nicoleta was a devoted member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody. Nicoleta lived a full and rich life until her last day. She will always be remembered as a woman with the kindest of hearts. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends, both in the U.S. and in Greece. She was the best wife, mother, yiayia, and “big” yiayia. We will all miss her warmth, laughter and smile. She is survived by her husband Dionysios Moutsoulas of Peabody, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage; three daughters, Eva & her husband Petros Sofronas of Peabody, Chrisoula & her husband Christos Krikas and Maria & her husband Panayiotis Skiadopoulos all of Kalamata, Greece; six grandchildren, Nikitas & his wife Diane Krikas, Aggelika & her husband Haris Houndis, Leo Skiadopoulos, and Evdokia Skiadopoulos all of Kalamata, Greece Kostas & his wife Kimberly Sofronas of Danvers and Angeliki Sofronas of London, England, then,; eight great-grandchildren; a brother Vasilios Poulopoulos of AmfeiaGreece, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Monday December 24, 2012 at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers.
