Obituary of Anna (Marchuk) Broughton

Anna (Marchuk) Broughton, 78, of Peabody, died peacefully Sunday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers after a lengthy illness. She was the loving wife of 56 years to Ralph D. Broughton Jr. Anna was born in Peabody on August 5, 1934 the daughter of the late John and Mary (Zatonsky) Marchuk and had resided in Peabody all her life. She was a graduate of Peabody High School in 1952. She had worked as a dietary aide at the Pilgrim House Nursing Home in Peabody for seven years prior to her retirement. Ann enjoyed crocheting making many items for her family and friends and also loved to go camping in New England, and especially enjoyed the White Mountain area. Surviving her besides her husband are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ralph D. Broughton 111 and John S. and Pat Broughton all of Peabody, her grandchildren, Amanda Broughton of Salem, Thomas Estarbrook and his wife Jill and their child, Noah all of Peabody, and Tim Estarbrook and his wife Maria and their child, Landon, all of Rocky Hill, CT. She was the sister of the late Walter Marchuk. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral Services will be held on Thursday in the Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
